In order to save power and resources, Microsoft Windows offers 3 types of power-saving options for your computer. These options are Sleep, Hibernate, and Hybrid Sleep. You can choose any one of them according to your power-saving needs. While you do so, your computer may also put itself on auto-sleep or hibernation mode when you are not using it. If it seems annoying to you, don’t worry. You can disable the auto-sleep or hibernation feature in your Microsoft Windows 7 computer. Here is how you can do it. Check the steps below:
Click the Start button> point to Control Panel. Click System and Security and then Power Options.

It will open up the Select a power plan window showing your existing power plan type. Click the Change plan settings link next to your power plan.
On the next screen, click Change advanced power settings. It will open up the Power Options window with Advanced settings highlighted.
Expand the Sleep option. If you are using a desktop computer, click Setting and select Never from the drop-down arrow. If you have a laptop, click either On battery or Plugged in (you can also select both the options) and select Never.
Now expand the Hibernate after option on the screen. For desktop, click Setting and select Never (as done above). For laptop, use both On battery and Plugged in or either one (as done above) and select Never.
Click the Apply button and then OK to close the Power Options window. Click the Save Changes button on the Change settings for the plan window. Exit all the windows including Control Panel. You have successfully disabled the automatic sleep and hibernation in your PC.
