How to Recover a Lost Password in Microsoft Outlook 2010

    Posted on 04:11 by Unknown
The Post intends to help users recover their Outlook 2010 password that they may forgotten or have lost due to accident deletion or corrupt Outlook .pst password file. The methods explained in this article are reliable and simple enough to perform. However, it is to be noted that success or failure of any method entirely depends on how correctly you follow and implement the instructions.

Microsoft Outlook 2010 has many inbuilt features like data recovery through .pst files that store all the Outlook information including emails, drafts, deleted items, contacts, and calendar entries among others. There is an individual .pst file for each Outlook folder like inbox.pst, sent items.pst, drafts.pst, and outbox.pst among others. Below are the instructions that will educate you on password recovery.

    Instructions:

You cannot recover your Outlook password when it is lost or forgotten. You will have to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to get your Outlook password reset. Once you have your password reset, update your Outlook email account to gain access to your Outlook information.

You can gain access to your Outlook information from the Outlook .pst files. These files are used by Outlook to store all your Outlook data including emails, drafts, contacts, calendar entries etc. Locate the .pst file(s) by going into the Control Panel and double clicking on Mail (if you don’t see Mail, then click on Switch to Classic View). Click on the Data Files button, click on the file path (it would read like Mailbox – John Smith…..), and then click on the Open Folder option. Locate the .pst file and double click to open it to retrieve your Outlook information. It is to be noted that the .pst file(s) will only help you gain access to your emails etc. but not the password.

If you have password protected your .pst file(s) and have forgotten their password, then use this little tweak to release their password. Click on the Start menu and go to Run. When the Run window opens, type ‘pst19upg.exe -i filename.psx’ (as it is and without quotes), and hit Enter on the keyboard. This will release the password of the protected .pst files and enable you to access your Outlook information.

If Outlook is not accepting your password and the password you are entering is correct, then try this tweak. Disable unnecessary add-ins by going into the Outlook, clicking on the File tab at the top, and selecting Options. Click on the Trust Center, select Add-ins, select COM Add-ins next to the Manage List, and then click on the Go button. When the COM Add-ins window opens, remove check marks from the boxes next to the add-ins you want to disable, and then click on OK. Close Trust Center window, close Outlook, and then reopen it.

Start Outlook in the Safe mode. Click on the Start menu, go to Run, type ‘outlook.exe /safe’ (without quotes and as is) in the open box, and hit Enter on the keyboard. This will start Outlook without any third party service and/or programs such as antivirus, firewalls, or add-ins etc. other than Microsoft’s. If Outlook runs fine, then some third party program is causing the issue. You must contact your program vendor for the support.
You can also download and install a free or paid Outlook password recovery tool from trusted websites. Save the file and run it to recover your password. However, there is a drawback to this method. If you somehow downloaded a fake recovery tool from an illegal website, then you stand to the risk of losing your critical information.

    Additional Tips:

When typing password, you must ensure that the caps lock on the keyboard is off (until you have a capital letter in your password). If it is on, then put it off. Generally, most of the ISPs do not require email passwords to contain capital letters. Some ISPs mandate the combination of uppercase and lowercase letter in email passwords.

You must also write down your password on a piece of paper and keep it at the safest place where you can collect it from in case you forget your password. You can also save your password in the Drafts folder in Outlook. This will help recover your password through the drafts.pst file that you can gain access to using the above mentioned method.

It is best to memorize your password in order to avoid losing it. We know that it is not possible as every user has so many passwords such as ATM, credit card etc. to remember that things like forgetting password happen easily. However, if you can, it will be well and good.

      Features of Internet Explorer 9

      Posted on 22:49 by Unknown
Internet Explorer was officially launched on 14th-March-2011. Windows Internet Explorer 9 has a streamlined look and many new features that speed up your web browsing experience. The advent of new browsers such as Google chrome and Mozilla Firefox has improved the situation and gave a tough competition to Internet Explorer, with a market share of 90% in 2006 fell below 50% in 2010.

But the recession has been positive. Competition is healthy because it prevents firms from resting on its laurels. Now Microsoft has taken action on the issue and the creators of Windows have rewritten the old browser.

I must say that Internet explorer 9 has become browser that will be installed smoothly on all new computers. Internet Explorer 9 has literally changed the way we use web pages. In addition to improvements in speed, security and simplicity of the most significant feature of IE 9 is the capability to manage Web pages as if they were true applications for Windows 7.

Example of www.facebook.com, if you drag an icon or tab on the taskbar will automatically create works like any other application. Clicking this icon will open a new window, only one site Facebook, and the color of the button to answer the visual style of it. As a bonus, if a new message or a notification icon is a small red light and let us know immediately. It's like you have installed the Facebook application is always available.

Another useful example is Email. If, like me, you're one of those of you who like to have your emails are always open and direct access to your favorite messaging service in the Windows taskbar is very useful, especially when right-clicking on icon have direct access to common tasks like writing a new post or view the calendar.

Of course, Web developers should support these new features to enjoy the full potential of IE9, but Microsoft has taken the initiative to twitter service to many to The New York Times urges the browser. Microsoft says, offering users the ability to save your favorite websites and more frequent applications, visit or stay open longer.

Of course there are other enhancements to Internet Explorer 9, are back with the ability to compete with Firefox and Chrome. One of the most interesting is the graphics accelerator, which explains in simple web pages with many graphics and videos will run much faster. In fact, the technology experts in various publications have even declared that the new graphics acceleration to allow the emergence of a new class of web applications.

Microsoft Hires 14 Year Child : Hacker

      Posted on 04:53 by Unknown

Talk about hacking and video games over the past few weeks and everyone automatically thinks of Sony and PSN first. It can’t be helped, the PSN hack was a PR nightmare for Sony and a worrying time for gamers whose credit card details were logged on the service, not to mention the weeks with no access to online gaming.

While that was going on, though, Microsoft had its own little hacking incident to deal with. A 14-year-old Irish school boy known only as Jake managed to hack into the Xbox 360 servers for Modern Warfare 2 and cause a phishing scam alert.

It wasn’t big news as Microsoft handled it, but they wanted to know what had caused it and if it was related to the PSN hacking incident. They managed to trace it back to this Irish schoolkid, which must have come as a bit of surprise. It’s not every day someone so young can learnt he skills to find an exploit and then do the work to gain access to such a system.

To give Microsoft credit where it’s due, they didn’t turn on the boy. Instead, they have decided to make him their youngest employee. The thinking being, he is obviously adept and Microsoft want to nurture that talent. Who knows, he could be the next Bill Gates.

Working with Microsoft in Ireland, managing director of the division Paul Rellis said they aim to, “develop his talent for legitimate purposes.” In other words, they hope to have him as a full time employee working on Windows 10 or the fourth iteration Xbox in a few years.

Best Operating System - Microsoft Windows 7

      Posted on 04:25 by Unknown
Microsoft has sold over 200 million copies of windows 7 operating system since it was first put on the market in Oct 2009 with the speed of 7 copies every second. It is a historical figure in the form of the speed at which copies of the Windows operating system has been sold. The speed at which Windows 7 copies sold, it is not just phenomenal, because to sell much faster than previous versions of Windows, including XP, but is also incredible that the latest version of Windows Vista that has was a huge disaster. Many critics have suggested that Microsoft may find it difficult to restore the confidence of computer users after their reputation was inhibited by Vista. But Microsoft has proved all critics wrong and reiterated that Windows is here to stay and get better every time.

First Improved speed and performance: Before Windows 7 operating system, every new operating system released by Microsoft over hardware requirements necessary for the smooth and faster than previous versions. But it has certainly changed with Windows 7 because it provides a much better speed and performance than Vista with identical hardware configurations. From my personal experience, I'd say it often works better than Windows XP, particularly in terms of startup time of Windows and some applications.

Cleaner and graphically enhanced user interface: Windows 7 is Vista's much clearer, especially on the taskbar and system tray and the ability to use themes. You can download and install Windows 7 Theme only a few clicks of the mouse to a second computer screen looks much better.

Under the combined programs: Microsoft has also heard comments from Windows users and critics and eliminated many of the features it offers, such as Messenger, Movie Maker, Live Writer, etc. Many people simply use them and what not use with the operating system as in the case of Windows Vista. But now, Microsoft has separately in its own download site instead of the group for users who need a free download from the Microsoft website. Also download security software called Microsoft Security Essentials Microsoft Windows 7, and much free from the Microsoft website.

Stability:- Windows 7 is much more stable operating system, and there is hardly a number of bugs reported so far. On the other hand, was known to crash a lot of computers at the beginning, and many had also reduced due to XP for the same reason. Even Windows XP was not stable at the beginning and was the only hope most people after Service Pack 2 came out. Similarly, Vista just started to get people a little hope, when the Service Pack 1 is released. But Windows 7 is just a very stable with no problems reported, without any service packs. It 'was also due to extensive beta testing Windows 7 OS, but it is much better than Vista in terms of stability, too.

I believe that Windows 7 is the best operating system ever to come out of Microsoft. And 'certainly better than Vista in almost everything, and I would say is even better than Windows XP, although many may deny it. Windows XP can be a bit 'faster than Windows 7, but then there are many more features than Windows XP 7. My last words - Come on, if you're not using it already.
