How To Speed Up Windows 7

Windows 7 is slow? Wondering how to speed up Windows 7, without breaking the bank? Well, maybe I can help. But first off you need to make sure that you have met the minimum hardware requirements to run Windows 7 on your computer. Here they are:-
    1. 1 GHz (32 - or 64-bit)
    2. 1 GB of RAM
    3. 16 GB of free disk space
    4. Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB of memory (for the Aero interface)
    5. A DVD-R / W
Remember though that if you were able to work effectively with Windows XP or Vista, there should be little reason why you can not also run Windows 7's new Windows operating system is designed to be lightweight and fast operational without the need for huge amounts of RAM or GHz. Most people have trouble are those who try to jump from Windows 2000 to Windows 7

If you meet or come close to these requirements, and Windows 7 is still slow, then the problem is elsewhere. To begin, reducing the amount of programs running in the background. You can use msconfig to do this or simply install the software that identifies the program in secret in the background and eating a lot of virtual memory.

The other option is to clean the Windows registry. This may be the most effective ways to speed up Windows 7 There is no internal cleaning tool to clear errors and corrupted files from the registry. This contributes to significant congestion, which will slow Windows 7 significantly.

Although these settings can be complicated to do alone, you can scan your system with software that will solve these problems automatically. It will only take a few minutes and you should see a faster Windows 7 away. Do not worry about compatibility issues if the program can run on Vista, it can run on Windows 7

What is Windows XP Mode in Windows 7

When it was leaked that Microsoft Windows 7 would have a full Windows XP compatibility mode, many believe that Windows 7 should be accompanied by a fully functional operating system running inside a virtual machine. Vista can run XP in Virtual PC 2007. However, Virtual PC 2007 has been criticized for being inefficient and slow, as it was to move all of the hosts called OS hardware. And 'natural to think that the way Windows XP is just a marketing gimmick designed to convince consumers that Seven is not plagued by serious problems of compatibility that Vista has become famous.

Obviously, it is desirable to use existing programs with new Windows 7 applications. Legacy applications can run directly through the interface of XP. This is done by installing legacy applications into the operating system through the virtual machine. If you want to run older programs on Windows 7 GUI, you must exit and close the virtual machine. If not disconnected, you will receive a pop-up indicating that you have the option to run the virtualized application or opening the virtual machine. Virtualized programs take a little longer to load programs that are installed natively on Windows 7, still can’t see significant differences between the opening of a native application and open a virtual application.

In fact, it would be difficult to tell whether an application is a virtualized application. By default, the way XP needs 256 MB of RAM, but RAM and other resources that are required by XP mode are adjustable. Now you can use Ctrl + Alt + Delete application directly to the Windows XP Security Mode using the menus. Technically, this is a momentous change, albeit very convenient none the less. XP now has access to USB devices with the guest operating system, which greatly increase its versatility and utility.

Microsoft Registry Cleaner - Is Vista Certified Best?

Computers are an integral part of human life. These days computer are used for school, work or just for fun, almost all now have, or know how to use a computer. Most people use Windows-based operating systems and the latest Windows operating system is the future of Windows Vista.

Keep your computer clean and good performance is the best way to increase productivity and reduce the frustration of a slow computer when working on an important task. One of the best ways to keep your computer is ideal for cleaning the registry with a registry cleaner for Windows Vista.

    Vista Certified?

Many registry cleaners, even some of the big names are still not yet ready for Microsoft Windows Vista yet. So be careful when choosing a registry cleaner to avoid these if you have the Windows Vista operating system.

A good registry cleaner can clean the registry to get the speed of the speed of your computer and make them work better with little or no errors. Registry cleaners also get rid of pesky spyware files a pig most of the resources of your system and steal information from your computer. The Windows Vista operating system is very different from the previous version so it is important to use a Vista registry cleaner original.

Vista certified means that it has received support from Microsoft, but when you think, this is not really a big deal. If a reputable company feels its own is ready to deal with Vista, which is good enough for me. Microsoft thinks and why they think it's secondary.

    Registry optimization

Using a registry cleaner is very simple, almost as simple as opening the program and press the button to run it. When it works, does all the work yourself, check for problems and fix them. The best registry cleaner to optimize and compress data well, and this is where most of the thrust comes from speed.

It keeps the record to date and eliminate all unnecessary and obsolete files no longer used by your computer. New Vista registry cleaners, you can also deal with viruses and Trojans as well, which not only slow down your computer, but also very dangerous for her too.

    New operating systems

Technology has evolved, and the use of computers has increased dramatically. With all the things you can do, like listen to music, watch videos, surf the web, write articles and you need more resources to do all this effectively.

Cleaning the registry on a regular basis allows you to be able to do all this without slowing down your computer. This is because it does not have to work so hard to run all these things. We live in an age when we're used to having things right now, and very quickly, and it gets frustrating when we do not have that luxury.

So cleaning the registry is one of the best ways to make sure you are aware of when working with a Windows operating system, especially one of the newer than XP and Vista. Also, if you use Vista ensure that the registry cleaner is ready or Vista compatible. But if Microsoft really has certified cleaner Vista is not so important.

    Installation Requirements for Windows XP

This blogpost contain the informaton about the minimum requirement for microsoft operating system windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional.

Windows XP can be installed on surprisingly low system requirements contrary to popular opinion. With the average life cycle of a regular PC being roughly 4-6 years, just about any PC being used today can run Windows XP.

The following requirements are Microsoft's "official" minimum system requirements which I have tested to work fine with the exception of only 64 MB of RAM (performance is poor). Increasing your RAM to 128 MB would be the only upgrade I would strongly consider as my absolute minimum Windows XP system requirements.

Actual requirements vary, depending on the system configuration and the programs and features that you choose to install. If you are installing Windows XP over a network, you may need additional hard-disk space.

The minimum hardware requirements for Windows XP Home Edition are:
    • Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
    • At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM (128 MB is recommended)
    • At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk
    • CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
    • Keyboard and a Microsoft Mouse or some other compatible pointing device
    • Video adapter and monitor with Super VGA (800 x 600)or higher resolution
    • Sound card
    • Speakers or headphones

The minimum hardware requirements for Windows XP Professional include:
    • Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
    • At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM (128 MB is recommended)
    • At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk
    • CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
    • Keyboard and a Microsoft Mouse or some other compatible pointing device
    • Video adapter and monitor with Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution
    • Sound card
    • Speakers or headphones

I have already shared the steps for the installation of windows 7 in my previous post "How to install windows 7 on Mac". Microsoft Windows 7 is the one of the great operating system from Microsoft with lot of features and applications. Mac OS X comes with a utility, called Boot Camp, and designed for installing Windows as second operating system. Since many programs will not run under OS X, installing Windows 7 could save you the trouble of having to invest in a separate computer entirely.

Boot Camp utility allows a Mac OS X to be dual-booted into either Mac Or Microsoft windows 7, and is the solution for Apple users who do not want to give up their Microsoft Windows only applications but would rather use Apple hardware.

According to Apple’s FAQs state that users will need the latest version of Mac OS X-Snow leopard-to boot into Microsoft Windows 7. There are a several of 2006 iMac and Mac book Pro models that Apple claims are incapable of running Microsoft windows 7, the full list of which can be found on Apple’s website.

    Windows 8 Features Updates

Windows 8 as seen so far is just windows 7 with User Interface for applications that's all , it is going to marketed at netbooks, mobile devices etc, but still in that area chorme OS and linux will always prevail.

Windows 7 system requirement are less then then they were for windows vista !!! Windows vista was a hog , so yes anyone running windows 7 can upgrade on same specs whenever it comes out , MS dos major OS overhaul only after 4 years , windows 7 or windows 8 will be same till at least 2014 or so........................

Reason being if a Operating System needs hardware upgrade not many people will go for it, people who have upgraded during 09,10 won't be looking to upgrade for another 2 or 3 years , plus hardware makers won't to be too happy to ship a Operating System which they cannot support , i7 processor is not seeing a major upgrade from intel for another 2 years max same goes for AMD, it is graphics or gpu 's which will be seeing changes faster then even a cell now but most prcs' will be happy to handle anything thrown at them for next 2 years given the current processors in market.

Note:- Before following the steps below, I do not recommend you doing this unless you are comfortable editing the Windows Settings. I will not responsible for any damage that may be caused to your PC after editing the settings by following the steps below. You proceed at your own risk or may take help from Microsoft Certified Technician at their Toll Free No. +1-877-452-9201

    Steps to update Windows 7

    • Click "Check for updates;" it is located on the left hand-side of the open window.
    • Click the "Important Update" link and choose all that apply then click "OK."

In this case, you'll see an alert in the notification area at the far right of the taskbar—be sure to click it. If you don't respond to a Windows Update alert, your PC might end up missing an important download.

I recommend that you use automatic updating—but if you choose not to, be sure to check for updates at least once a week.

    Hardware requirements for Windows 8

In this blog post, I will discuss the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 8. As of now, there is no official information about the hardware requirements, but I will provide my views on it.

Microsoft has not officially announced the name of next version of Windows. Also, there is no official word about the hardware requirements for Windows 8.

Microsoft claims they will make the newer versions of Windows faster and thinner, but I don't expect that the minimum requirements for Windows 8 will be anything less than the windows 7 system requirements.

Considering the graphics improvements that everybody is expecting on Windows 8, there a big chance that we will have to have a better graphics card than we all currently have to take full advantage of advanced graphics features in Windows 8.

Ideally, all computers that run Windows 7 should be able to run Windows 8 as well. However, utill upgraded to the new minimum requirements for Windows 8, we may not be able to take advantage of some of the new features.

I will update this resource after I get any relaible information from Microsoft about Windows 8 and minimum system requirements.
